This year I had safari/jungle theme! :)
Behavior System
This was my first year doing this, but it worked like magic. Everyday a student stayed on green they got a sticker. Break area was closed and could only be earned if they earned 5 stickers. Once they complete the incentive chart with 25 stickers, they got to go to the treasure box.
My students HATED changing their color, even if it was to yellow... it was like their world was falling apart.
Although I had a higher functioning group, my co worker tried it with her lower functioning and it worked as well. She varied it by reinforcing with small rewards for every green. :)

Books/Listening
These centers used to be separated but I had to put them together since I changed my schedule to 30 min blocks.

Break Area
It was closed and had a closed sign on it, these reminded students that they could not go in unless allowed.

Fine Motor/Writing
I started deviating from fine motor skills, since my students has better fine motor skills and become more a of a writing center or higher math number skills.

Independent Work Baskets

A journal was added to their bins at the end, where they will answer simple questions. It was the first year. It was free writing and picture, but at the end I got to see how the students grew! :)

 Prompting Hierarchy

These are posted in every center as reminder to adults. We need to back off prompting so much!

Teacher Time
I had a magazine holder for each students. They each had a reading and math folder. :)
I had a table in front, to send one or two students to work independently when needed. Other times I made a semi circle for whole group reading.
