In 2013, I had decided to embark in the journey of blogging about my life as an Autism Cluster or Special Program teacher to share with world my experiences, ideas, and just how to deal with certain circumstances. However, life took over and I completely stopped blogging, creating materials and just decided to put my energy into my career. Today, I can say I taught for 8 years student's with Autism along with some sprinkles of other disabilities, coached and oversaw 2 years 6 ASD Special Program Classes, and now I am a Curriculum Program Specialist for the ESE Department in the county overseeing 26 Elementary schools to support ESE Students Pre-K through 5th grade. Also, I assist, collaborate and provide Professional Development. I say my effort hasn't been in vain. But I still want more... I want to reach the educators nationwide. 2020 is a year to never forget! Given all the things happening this year.. .I have a new perspective. So... I have decided as one of my motivational stickers from Natural Life says.... "Be the Girl Who Decided to go for it!" I have realized how important life is and that we should all do what your heart and gut tells you to do. Sometimes you just have to stop thinking about it and take action. So I am taking action and putting my ideas, thoughts and experiences to the world. I have transferred all the old blogs into this new site, to share some of my old thoughts. I didn't want to lose the work and information I had shared back in 2013... I hope to inspire SPED Educators to be passionate, to think outside the box and to realize that YOU CAN make a difference in the children's lives. They need us! My goal is to leave a legacy that makes you want to understand, teach and reach your most complex child/student. Together I know we can do this! So are you ready to join me in this journey???? Let's go!
